還記得「台大抗煞一號」（NTU Anti-SARS No.1）嗎？

當時正值SARS疫情的期間，由台大前校長陳維昭先生統籌組織一支跨領域的研究團隊，針對SARS的棘手疫情正式宣戰。後來該團隊發明了一種能夠破壞SARS病原的人造化合物，即8-hydroxyotanoic acid，並以「台大抗煞一號」之名發表。當時的我雖然只能在該團隊中擔任旁枝末節的角色，但能夠接觸到這種跨領域合作的計劃對我來說已經是一種相當難能可貴的經驗了。（商品已上市：中美避煞靈）
